Year 1 students have recently completed a 4 week Soccer Discovery Program run by coaches from Riversdale Soccer Club. To culminate the program, Riversdale Soccer Club will be running a Gala Day for students involved in the program. CSPS will be entering 3 boys and 3 girl's teams for the day. Students will compete against other schools on the day.

The tournament will consist of boys and girls fixtures with students playing in class groups. Each class will form 2 teams of approximately 11 players. Each team will have 7 players on the pitch with the balance of players as substitutes.

Each team will play approximately 3 games of 15 minutes throughout the group stage of the tournament. Fixtures will be structured so that wherever possible, each team will play for one match and then rest for the next match before playing again. The winner of each group will play off against the winners of the other groups to establish an overall winner for the category.
